Lots of food & decently priced! Is has the chicken sampler which was 17. It came with Yassa chicken (lemon pepper & Dijon flavors), curry chicken, jerk chicken, cabbage, and rice. It was good & I’ll definitely be back.
Hands down the best carribean food in STL, hidden gem inside the foundry! Also our favorite stall in the foundry (we tried almost every place). The portion is huge and beyond flavorful. The Jerk chicken isn’t dry and the sauce is just right. The curry chicken melts in your mouth and has a good kick but not too spicy! For the portion and taste it’s definitely worth the price. Also very kind workers. We’ll be back!
Very tasty Afro-Caribbean cuisine inside The Foundry. The jerk chicken had so much flavor. I got the sampler which included jerk chicken and curry chicken, cabbage, and white rice or brown rice and beans. The oxtails and plantains looked good too. I’ll definitely be back to try more.
I dream about their Yassa Chicken. The servings are generous. It may not be the prettiest, but it is by far the tastiest.
They didn’t mention The Oxtails and when I say so delicious, tender, seasoned to perfection oh and fall off the bone. Muah!
Chez Ali's Yassa chicken is the best bite I've had in St Louis. Every time I visit, I'm blown away. It's so tasty, so consistently excellent. Red beans and rice, jerk chicken, samosas, and plantains are all amazing too.
Followed Ali's cuisine for years. Proud of his ability to merge Senegalese and Caribbean tasty dishes yet present them in the elegant of Abidjan.
First time in the foundry, wasn’t really hungry but at the back of the food court I saw this place with nobody in the line & figured I’d give it a go . Got the oxtails with red beans & cabbage it was all pretty good first time trying any of it . The female worker was really nice & she loaded my plate up with a large portion . Overall a solid choice of restaurant especially if you want some African cuisine .
